Their really is no best nature, each Pokemon has their own individual stats. For example, if you had a lapras, his special attack and speed is higher than his attack, so a timid (-attck + speed)or a modest (-attck + sp attck) nature is best to take advantage of his already high stats.

Not completely. It depends on ivs,Evs,attacks and the type water, fire, etc. if the type you have is meant for tanking it's good to have a nature with high defense if it is based on speed you would want a nature based on speed.

Is there a calculator to put the type of Pokémon, there Ivs and it tells me how good it is / can compare with others?

In the games can you change the nature or the I've ever?

Yes you can change iv's if you get a new attack that has more PWR it only changes the attack/sp attack ivs but it does change the percent. And you don't need a calculate all you need is /iv while holding the Pokemon in game it basically tells you all you need to know.

Personally I would never use timid on lapras. it has 60 base speed which is way too low to allow it to play as a sweeper. Modest is good, however. I'd rather ev it as a bulky special attacker with modest nature or something like calm or bold natures. Timid is horrible for lapras though, that's for sure.

Also, for anyone who is new to competitive pokemon, this will help you MASSIVELY http://www.smogon.com/dex/xy/pokemon/

Smogon will give you information on every pokemon, such as the evs you should invest in it, the moveset you should use, the pokemon's weaknesses and resistances etc. Obviously most of them won't apply because we don't have most of the pokemon on the server. Remember that these ev spreads/natures/movesets given by smogon are not always the best, but they are close to it. Movesets may be an issue (We don't have tms/hms etc) , but evs and natures should be correct for pokefind.
