I know this is a huge type of update that would require some time, but if there is a planned update on the Johto region, the map should be way bigger. Don't get me wrong it's fun to walk around the map, but I can walk it all in about an hour. But obviously that's a huge update so that's a hard thing to accomplish, but it'd be cool.
I think the Gen 2 pokemon will spawn in the same map but I'm not to sure. Also this has been suggested a lot and the staff is probable aware of it.
