Trainer Level Not Increasing

    Hi,
    I just joined the Pokéfind Minecraft server yesterday, and have ran into an issue. My trainer level is not increasing, and hasn't increased since I joined. I'm stuck at 44 xp in Level 1. And incase you think it is because I'm not catching anything, I have caught over 20 Pokémon. I have also visited several Pokéstops. Is there something else I am supposed to do to increase my level? Or is this a glitch?
    The attached photo is of my stats, if it is of any use.

    You only gain XP from attacking wild pokemon, have you tried that yet? You do not earn XP from catching pokemon/from pokestops.
