What does Hyping do?

i'm confused as to what the command /hype does? please help

 

This has been awnsered before but since there is no search bar it is kinda hard to find older posts. But the /hype command does nothing... Yes it's only there to hype the server but it really does nothing. Some player say you get a prize at a certain amount of hypes but that's a lie.
