We’ve all played PokemonGo. Endless hours of walking around outside and SO MANY Ratata’s! With all the experience under our belts we feel like pros, right? Well, if you’re like me and growing up you played the Pokemon franchise Games, remember that thing that everyone loved? You probably (hopefully) guessed it: trading. Growing up I would work so hard to find good Pokemon, trade them for better Pokemon, form competitive teams, and then wreck some gyms. Wow, that sounds like something I would do now… but something's missing. You guessed it again: trading!

One of the things that definitely sold me on PokemonGo was trading. You know that scene in the first trailer where three friends sat down trading Pokemon on top of a mountain/hill thing. I wanted that so bad. We already know that trading should be coming along with Generation 2 of PokemonGo -I’d like to take this second to remind everyone, please have caution while trading. Don’t go up to strangers, don’t go to dangerous places, stay a good distance away from people, and stay safe.- So that begs the question, how will trading be interpreted into PokemonGo?

    Sacred Phone Touch

There’s a lot of ways you can go about it. In their later games you had the ability to trade by infrared scanning, which let me just tell you was awesome. Shooting invisible lasers between my brother’s and I’s 3DS was arguably the most interesting Poke-Thing I’ve done. Back to the point, will I have to go up to someone and do the sacred phone touch for me to finally get that Snorlax? I mean that would be kind of weird. I don’t know about you, but I’m not heading into that dark alley to trade that supposed Dragonite with xXSlayerKid51Xx. It wouldn’t be that bad though. Something they could do is set up trading zones in well populated central areas for people to trade at, (if they do that, pass me some credit please!) possibly at certain times at day. With that method there would hopefully be safe zones where tons of people could congregate. I don’t know any criminal stupid enough to mess with a group like that. I have a park that I like to walk around when playing that has around 15 Poke-stops. I always end up meeting my friends there, even if not planned. I think that would be a great zone to have a trade spot. Couples, teens, parents and children all playing there. Oh, now I’m hyping myself up for trading.

    He wants to trade!

Thinking about it objectively it’ll be hard for that to happen. Not everyone has proper transportation to get to places, and it wouldn’t be fair to many people, especially the younger generation. Not to mention that it’ll be difficult to establish zones for all around the world. So, I guess that leaves the anywhere you can trade deal and that’s not a necessarily bad thing. I don’t want to see that one dude who has the 2000 CP Gyarados get mauled by people wanting to trade so maybe a nice distance like a Poke-`stop kind of thing would be good. But I’ll leave you with this question: What ideas do you think should be added to trading? We’d love to know, so tweet us at our twitter: @PokeGoFind
