I traded a Thunder stone for a Fire stone, however the Pokemon used to hand me the fire stone was a haunter so as I attempted to remove the fire stone the Haunter attempted to evolve, I clicked no and my fire stone vanished. So disappointing, especially after spending hours trying to get my hands on a fire stone.
Hello Mass, the Fire Stone vanished because it acted like a held item evolution in the trade. In a normal held item evolution when you cancel the evolution the held item will disappear as the Fire Stone did, you will need to hunt for another stone unfortunately.
