Resource not working tried EvErYtHiNg

So I've tried going into the .minecraft folder and deleting the server resource pack folder and it's not working. I've enabled the resource pack and it's still not working. When it says applying resource pack it freezes then says connection timed out or other random stuff. Help. Plz.

 

This happens to me sometimes, I found that when deleting the server-resource-folder this fixed the time out issue. Another thing I found that works is that when I turn my texture pack to default then join the server it doesn't time me out, try that. Otherwise try reinstalling minecraft, if this doesn't work then I would suggest contacting an admin.
