Abusive Mod? (Murder)

Okay, so I was playing a murder game in the server and i saw someone killed by harming potions (didn't see ghastly)... I don't know if that's an ability for ghastly but then i was running away and I was killed by harming potions dropped above me too!
I'm thinking it's an abusive mod because I'm sure ghastly only has one attack, so an answer would be greatly appreciated.
