Crates not giving what was earned through opening them

Hello,
I just opened an epic crate in the pokewars server and was told that I recieved a legendary aura gengar pokemon murder skin, but when i went to put it on the server tells me i have to purchase it for gold. Was the chest just there to unlock it, or was I supposed to receive the skin as part of the chest? I included a screen shot of the crate message and the next message saying I need 190,992 more gold to purchase the skin.
