Player not fully dieing after having egg destroyed

I kept killing a player over and over and they didn't die even though no egg was present and it said they had 1 life left, like every time I killed them it said final kill however when they finally killed me they just won.

When it happened: 10:25 Am

It happened in Pokewars not sure which server just in solo



Edit: I also think that if people found a way to create this glitch willingly they could unfairly farm gold.
