Scizor not getting exp

hello. I have been trying to lvl up my scizor but it doesn't seem to gain any exp after any battle. I have battled like 4 times and the match just ends without scizor gaining exp. I was at server-3 and I tried to relog and it didn't work. My other pokemon got exp except my scizor. please help.
