Server resource pack not working

Hello,
can You guys please help me?

when i go on the server it does the downloading for the resource pack and than it says "applying server resource pack please wait" but than the game just freezes and than it kicks me out saying "time out" but when i play without the resource pack i get pickaxes and hoes as my poKemon and stuff.

thanks for replying and yes i have done that, i have deleted the folder called "sever resource pack" (like said if the guide). It all works just when i login in and spawn it says "applying resource pack" and than the screen freezes.

 

Have you tried changing the server resource pack to prompt? If no other option works for you I suggest that you delete your entire .minecraft folder

 

yep i have changed it to prompt however i cant see any pokemon,poke-balls,potions they show up as hoes and pickaxes.

any help?

 

Did you join a server in the lobby cause if the resource pack doesn't work then it won't let you join any server?

yep 2-3 times still didnt work

can we not just download it and put it in the folder?
