I joined the server for the first time and a never got my starter... ;-;

So, when i first joined this game I didn't get the intro, and so i never got my starter (but a caught a random Spearow XD). I do not know if this a glitch but I would be SO HAPPY if you could give me a starter. (P.S. Charmander is my favorite starter so that would be nice if you gave me him.) But I would keep playing this game more often, so i thank you in advance.
